All French students had the incredible opportunity to join the East Woods School French trip to the province of Quebec last November, visiting Montreal and Quebec City. The visits and activities were guided mainly in French. The itinerary was terrific and gave the students complete immersion in the francophone culture. Besides exploring the historical sites and the charms of each city, they attended a hockey game, participated in a three-hour workshop at the circus school affiliated with the Cirque du Soleil, walked the trail of the highest waterfall in North America, enjoyed a traditional dinner, danced to the sound of the fiddle, and tasted delicious maple sirup sucette in a Sugar Shack. They also discovered new delicacies and experienced shopping in small shops while understanding the local and state taxes and paying in Canadian dollars.
